Item 2: Annual Space Survey and Other Facilities Updates - Dan Costello, AVP Facilities

Projected growth to nearly 50K students by 2033. 

Research expenditures have tripled in the past 3 years.  San Marcos is currently constructing a STEM building, but not getting a lot of new buildings in the next 8 years on the San Marcos campus. 

Parking – Eric Algoe has a task force looking at ideas for handling parking.  Potential to add garages in the future.  

Space Utilization Survey – completed in April.  Reports will be generated by September.   

Item 3: Well-Being with Campus Recreation - Jason Vlastaras, Director of Campus Recreation

Summer will have a few staff leagues for pickleball and kickball.  Free Fridays in the summer; checking on the Round Rock campus.  Monthly memberships available. They may pilot some group fitness classes during Summer, but this is still a work in progress.

Staff Council Parking Permit Raffle – now to May 11, drawing on May 12  

President’s Staff Awards Celebration and States Up Staff Carnival on May 18th announced by Holly Hirsch  

Awards at 3 PM, then move to Sewell Park with carnival games with prizes, DJ, snacks, beer & wine; partnering with facilities to build old-school Bobcat-themed carnival games.
